I’m a Beginner, Where Do I Start?

Everyone is welcome!! You don’t need any previous barre, pilates or yoga experience to come to our classes. At Studio Equilibre we pride ourselves in maintaining an intimate environment where our instructors are able to tailor all classes to suit your individual needs and provide options to suit all levels. As a beginner, you are able to go to any classes (excluding advance mat) although we do recommend that you attend at least 1 Energique or Renforce Reformer class before the combination classes.

Are Walk-Ins Accepted?

As a small boutique studio, we can not accept walk-ins. Please book into all classes prior, this can be done through the Mindbody or Studio Equilibre App.

How Do I Book My Classes?

Please note our late cancellation policy is within five hours of the class start time. If cancellation is within this time or you do not show to a class you will be charged for this class as it often means another client is unable to attend. Please respect other clients by only booking classes that you will be able to attend.

We have bathroom and change room facilities at the studio. There is plenty of street parking on Lathlain Place, however, please note that it gets very busy on the weekend give yourself plenty of time to find a spot.

Can Men Do Classes?

Yes! We love guys in our classes! You'll find it challenging and it’s a very complimentary workout to other sports training. Men are welcome and encouraged to join any and all classes we offer.

Can I Still Come To Classes If I’m Pregnant?

Pregnancy is not an illness and Studio Équilibre does not treat it as one. Women who have previously worked out regularly and consistently are welcome to continue their fitness routine with us throughout their pregnancy. However, ALL pregnant women are required to receive clearance from their GP or Obstetrician first. Exercises may be adapted, however, it is ultimately the responsibility of the participant to reduce or stop any movement which causes discomfort/pain etc. There will likely be exercises performed during the class environment which may not be suitable (usually due to positioning) as the pregnancy develops, therefore a time may come where solo sessions are more suitable for the client. This way the exercises can be tailored to your needs.

If you have not been training regularly and consistently prior to your pregnancy, we advise you not to commence a new fitness routine during this time.

Injury/ Pre-Existing Medical Conditions

If you have an injury, pain or medical condition you will need to have clearance from your GP or Physiotherapist before continuing with your Pilates classes.
