Alex Schofield: Owner & Instructor

‘Our Amazing leader, Alex’

Alex started Studio Equilibre in 2018 after teaching Pilates for 5 years.

Wanting to share her love of Pilates with wonderful clients in small intimate classes is her desire, where you can get as much as possible out of yourself, doing so, in a fun and social space.

An accomplished woman of many talents, Alex went to her first Pilates class over 15 years ago in-between traveling the world, modelling and studying to be an accountant. Walking out of her first class, Alex knew she would one day love to be an instructor and have her own studio...now look where we are.

Not only is Alex an incredible instructor, but she also is a wonderful mum to two amazing boys.

A warm, caring and approachable individual, Alex has strived to create an amazing atmosphere of beautiful clients and instructors at Studio Equilibre.  She puts every ounce of energy into everyone at Studio Equilibre and takes care of them all like her own, her aim is to personalise sessions for each individual no matter what your ability is.

We love and admire her so so much and are incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful founder.

Charlotte Elliot: Instructor

‘Our Superhero, Charlotte’

Charlotte started attending classes at Studio Equilibre in Mid 2019. She teaches clinical pilates at Victoria Physiotherapy Group but wanted to expand her instructing to studio Equilibre. Charlotte has since become our super instructor working mornings at studio Equilibre and practicing full time as a physiotherapist.

Outside of the studio she dances, enjoy sports, and works for the Perth Football Club. She loves the outdoors and spends much of her time at the beach, hiking, and of course; a sucker for a good sunset.

Charlotte believes pilates is something everyone can do, no matter your level of fitness, strength, flexibility or mobility and is beneficial for all. Teaching pilates allows her to help others to build strength and improve their overall health. Watching people achieve goals or do things they never thought they could do is rewarding!

‘The Gorgeous Gemma’

Gemma has been with Studio Equilibre since coming along to puplaties in 2018 but joined our team in 2020. After attending as a client for a year she fell in love with pilates and found the instructors passion contagious, deciding to take her course with the goal to one day work with us.

In between working at Studio Equilibre and looking after her gorgeous fur baby JJ, she also works in mining as an EA.

After years of being a gym bunny Gemma started Pilates to slowly supplement gym training. Since, she has found her body becoming leaner and gaining strength although the biggest change was the decrease in chronic joint pain leading to pilates becoming her main form of movement each week.

If you haven’t already got to experience her contagious laugh in classes, you should definitely sign up to join her.

Shenae White: Instructor  ‘Our Angel, Shenae’Shenae started teaching at Studio Equilibre in August 2019 instantly falling in love with the people and vibe of our wonderful community knowing it was just the place for her and growing to love our studio more and more with every class she teaches. Shenae has spent her life dancing, since she was 2, she was in costumes and performing on stage but danced full time in 2017 after getting her Cert IV in Performing Arts. After teaching dance classes for many years, she then took her love for music, dance, singing and mixing into Pilates. Keeping us all in time during barre no matter how uncoordinated we may be. The way to her heart is definitely food and will often share her cravings for a cheeky chicken tender or Panchos queso in class leading to everyone being hungry.  Shenae loves teaching Pilates finding it rewarding to see everyone improve and grow in their strength and technique. It is fulfilling to hear from each and every person who walks through our doors how Pilates benefits them so uniquely when they stay consistent.  Don’t let her angelic face fool you she is as tough as they come and sweet and fun.
